Our community volunteer organisation has been running since Cyclone Gabrielle happened February 2023.
Our focus is to assist Hawkes Bay Families displaced by the Cyclone, by offering a laundry service.
We have recently been granted funding by Evergreen, and the support of Mr Apple by way of letting us use their laundry facility.
We pick up, wash, dry, return laundry same day to families who are living in cyclone emergency housing, or who are living at their flood affected properties.
Many are without laundry or drying facilities and we are all aware of the cost & time associated with using commercial laundromats especially difficult given the costs endured by displaced families.
We have a great demand from families and so are seeking help to increase our volunteer pool to facilitate more laundry days.
