Join our small, local team and help us to change lives, reduce re-offending and make a real difference.
We need a few people who can spare a few hours a week, over a couple of months, to assist our tutors in prison. It's safe, meaningful, fun and easy to handle work.
Working in groups, we share simple principles of practical philosophy that can help prisoners change their lives for the better. Volunteers need no experience, just an open-minded, calm and steady approach. You can meet up with our other volunteers to help you understand just what's involved and have the opportunity to ask questions.
You will first require Justice approval and then a brief security training by Corrections.
A few hours of your time for a few weeks, can make a significant, positive impact to those in the Hawkes Bay Prison and their wider whanau.
