Are you confident driving a small truck, want to help our people in our community and can spare a few hours each week?
Cranford Hospice loans electric beds to patients at home to better their quality of life.
We need volunteers to collect beds from the hospice in Hastings and deliver them to patients in Hastings/Napier.
Similarly when patients no longer require the bed, the bed needs to be collected and returned to Cranford Hospice in Hastings.
As well as driving there is some lifting involved. You need to be physically fit as bed parts that need to be carried and loaded into the truck can weigh about 30kgs. To assist with the lifting our volunteers work in pairs.
Volunteers are required Tuesday and Friday mornings 9.30am - 12.00pm and Wednesday afternoon 12.00 - 3.00pm.
