Guide for Blind Low Vision Bowlers

This role will support a group of vision impaired indoor bowlers weekly on Tuesday mornings 9.50am - 11.30am. The season starts 13th Feb and goes through to the end of October.

Some previous indoor bowls experience would be great, though not essential. The group are happy to help teach any new volunteers.

You would be assisting with sighted guiding of vision impaired bowlers, and describing where / how to bowl.

In addition, the group will travel away to the National Blind Bowls tournament on Labour Weekend in Hamilton. Ideally you would be available to travel away that weekend and guide the vision impaired bowlers throughout the tournament.  All costs including accommodation, meals and travel are paid for.

All relevant training is provided.
