Are you friendly, reliable, and organised, with a knack for admin and a passion for helping others? Volunteer Hawke’s Bay (VHB) could be the perfect fit for you!
We’re looking for team players who enjoy connecting with people and making a difference. Whether you're retired, looking to build confidence to re-enter the workforce, or a parent with school-aged children, this role offers flexibility and purpose.
What to Expect:
- Shifts are typically one day a week for 3 hours, between 9:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Thursday.
- You’ll be based at our welcoming office at The Hive in Hastings.
- Tasks include phone work, emails, data entry, and general admin – all focused on supporting volunteers and community organisations.
- Full training is provided, including how to use our database and systems, with ongoing support to help you feel confident and fulfilled.
Extra Opportunities: You can also choose to train for our emergency volunteer programme, supporting lead agencies like Civil Defence during times of need.

Call centre or administration experience is welcome.
Able to manage or be willing to learn our database functions and have a good telephone manner.
