Audio Editor

The Hawke's Bay Knowledge Bank is dedicated to preserving our local history by digitally recording written, oral, and pictorial treasures. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Oral History Editor to join our team.
In this role, you will refine transcribed interviews to improve readability while maintaining the speaker's original intent. Since natural speech is often filled with "ums," "ahs," and "filler words," your task will be to edit the audio and align the existing verbatim transcripts for a smooth, professional flow.
  • Software: We primarily use Audacity (0.5.27), but you are welcome to use any program that achieves high-quality results.
  • Training: No prior experience? No problem—full training will be provided.
Help us keep the stories of Hawke's Bay alive. Join our team today!
