Red Cross Curtain Bank provide curtains to homes in our community, helping families to stay warm and healthy in winter, reduce energy wastage and energy costs. We receive donations of curtains, repair and line them and then distribute them free of charge to people in need.
Red Cross Curtain Bank based in Onekawa, urgently volunteers that can measure, cut, pin, label, fold and organise lining. No sewing required!
We have a mountain of curtains that need processing.
Time commitment will be negotiated with you when you apply for the role - we have several weekday shifts available.
The type of person we are looking for (is):
- Must be able to work on your feet for approximately 3 hours and work efficiently in teams of two
- Must be fit enough to lift rolls of material
- Must be reliable and able to work in a fun and busy environment
