Dance facilitators for Disabled Youth

Would you like to make a real difference to the lives of young people with disabilities and their families?

StarJam run dance based workshops for youth with disabilities and empowers them through music and performance.

Whatever your skills, availability, or passions, there’s a volunteer role waiting for you!  No experience necessary.

Yes love to dance but no need to be a dance teacher.

With each workshop we have one paid tutor and two - three volunteers.

Workshops have no more than twelve Jammers (young people with disabilities) 

Hours: Approximately 2 hours per week (8 weeks per term):
Hastings -            Tuesday 6.30-8pm
Havelock North - Wednesday 6.30-8pm
Greenmeadows - Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday 6.30-8pm
 

The type of person we are looking for (is): 
  • Able to have loads of fun
  • Encouraging
  • Positive.
  • At least 17/18 years old
