The HB Special Olympics Swim Carnival is being held on Sunday 17th May at the HB Regional Aquatic Centre. The meet will run from 10 am to approximately 2.30 pm – so we would probably need volunteers to be available from 9.15/9.30 am so that we can brief them and set them up.
We are looking for people that would be interested in helping:-
- being a timekeeper
- using a computer to enter results
- marshalling - calling out swimmer's names and helping to get them to the right lane
- giving out ribbons/medals
- catering - serving morning tea and lunch to the athletes, team managers and coaches
- plus, come & support our own Hawke's Bay team!
Age is no barrier. So, whether you're a retiree, a school student looking for service hours, or a Duke of Edinburgh participant, come and join us.
It will be a really fun event.
