Assisting front of house at the theatre during a show season and some events.
Jobs may include; greeting patrons at the door, checking tickets, showing people to their seats, preparing tea and coffee for intermission, cutting and serving cake for intermission, clearing cups and glasses after intermission, cleaning the kitchen and doing dishes.
Sometimes required to sit in on a performance to be the safety person in an emergency - directing people out safely.
Some one-off events may need some front of house staff also. We have a roster system so the workload is shared and you will be working with other people on your shift. Its a great way to meet people, to see local productions and hang out at a cool theatre.
Approximate times are 6pm start through to 9-9.30 pm, depending on the show/event.
We have 3-4 shows per year and each has between 8-14 performances per season over 2-3 weeks.
Normally we ask you to wear black trousers/skirt and a white top.
Sometimes there may be a costume item added as part of the theme of the production.
Ability to get yourself to the theatre and home again.
Be in good health and have good mobility.
