The Hastings District Heritage Trails develops and redevelops Heritage Trails throughout Hawke's Bay.
We identify sites of historic, scenic and cultural significance and develop a route that can be either walked, driven or biked (depending on the distance) that joins all these significant sites together.
We then develop the signage and a brochure with stories about the significant sites.
The Committee have fun researching and visiting the sites and developing the brochure and signage.
The type of person we are looking for (is):
- Interested in learning more about the Heritage trails
- Interested in doing research to add to the information already collected
- Enjoys being part of a team and working with others
We meet about once a month and do trips around the trails as we redo them over the years.
