Cranford Hospice needs Laundry, Kitchen and Flower volunteers.
Flowers - Do you enjoy arranging flowers?
Monday and Thursday mornings. The start time is flexible
Volunteers are required to:-
- Collect flowers from their own, a friends or the Hospice Garden
- Arrange up to 8 vases for the public spaces - making new arrangements or refreshing existing ones
- Arranging cheerful posies in small vases for patient trays
- Clean the flower arranging area as required
Laundry
Daily requirement: 10.30am-2.30pm. the hours required each week will be dependent on the capacity of the Hospice for the week.
Volunteers are required to:-
- Wash, dry and iron bed linen and kitchen linen
- Wash , dry and iron patients' clothes.
Kitchen
Two shifts are required daily: - 10.30am-1pm and 5pm-7pm. The length of each shift will be dependent on the Hospice capacity for the week.
Volunteers are required to:-
- Assist the cook with preparation of food for patients
- Set up trays as required
- Clean/sterilise and put away all cutlery, crockery and kitchen equipment
- Use relevant health and safety standards in food preparation and clean up
- Able to stand for 2 hours or more
- Has a degree of physical fitness as some lifting is required
