We're looking for passionate and community-minded volunteers to support our upcoming Rangatahi Leadership Wānanga, bringing together around 150 tāne from 12 Hawke's Bay kura for a day of learning, connection and inspiration.
This event is designed to empower young people to grow in confidence, strengthen their leadership skills, and build meaningful connections with positive role models and one another. Volunteers play an important part in creating a welcoming, safe and memorable experience for everyone involved.
Volunteer Roles Include:
• Assisting with event set-up and pack-down
• Welcoming students, schools and guests
• Supporting activity rotations and workshop spaces
• Helping with registration and wayfinding
• Assisting with catering and refreshments
• Providing general event support wherever needed
Preparation Session: Tuesday, 21 July (1 hour, time to be confirmed)
Event Date: Thursday, 23 July
Location: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Heretaunga St, Hastings
Event Time: 8:30am to 3:00pm

Volunteers are asked to attend a one-hour preparation session on Tuesday, 21 July either online or in person, followed by the event on Thursday, 23 July. Whether you're able to contribute for the full day or a few hours, your support will help create a meaningful experience that empowers our rangatahi to lead with confidence and make a positive impact in their communities.
