The Food Basket Central Hawke’s Bay Trust is looking for passionate and community-minded individuals to join our governance board as volunteer trustees.
Our organisation plays a vital role in supporting local whānau through access to food and essential services. We are looking for people who are committed to our kaupapa and keen to contribute their skills, time, and experience to strengthen our impact.
Trustees are volunteers who:
o Actively support the Trust’s kaupapa
o Attend board meetings regularly
o Contribute to initiatives, planning, and decision-making
If you are applying for the Chairperson role, additional responsibilities include:
• Meeting with the General Manager prior to each board meeting
• Working with the Secretary to plan agendas and ensure key information is prepared
• Supporting effective and well-run governance meetings
Our governance board meets approximately four times per year, typically in the evening for around two hours.
