This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, has a calm and approachable manner, and takes pride in helping others feel supported and at ease.
In this role you can:
• Welcome patients, whānau, and visitors in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner.
• Provide information about hospital services, facilities, amenities, and visitor areas.
• Help people find their way to departments, clinics, wards, and family spaces.
• Listen and respond to general enquiries, referring more complex matters to the appropriate staff member.
• Deliver flowers, cards, and messages to patient care areas.
• Help maintain a tidy, welcoming, and comfortable reception environment.
• Support a positive experience for everyone entering the hospital.
• Friendly, approachable, and enjoys helping others
• An excellent communicator with strong listening skills
• Patient, compassionate, and respectful of people's circumstances
• Reliable and able to work independently when required
• Comfortable interacting with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
