New baby groups are essentially a social connection group, similar to a coffee group, to support parents and caregivers to make friends and connections in their community.
The facilitator needs to be reliable as the groups are set up well in advance and being available is vital.
The Facilitator needs to be warm, friendly, connect to all people and represent Plunket and Plunket’s views and guidelines etc.
Building rapport and supporting the group to connect is important.
The groups are run one morning a week for the first 4 weeks of each term. Each group requires approximately 2 hours a week during the week days depending on when they scheduled.
