Help make a difference for people living with multiple sclerosis.
MS Steps is a community fundraising event that brings people together to support local people affected by multiple sclerosis. We are looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join us as Course Marshals and help ensure participants enjoy a safe and positive experience.
What you'll be doing
As a Course Marshall, you'll be stationed at a designated point along one of the event routes, helping participants stay on course and offering a friendly smile and encouragement along the way.
Tasks include:
• Directing walkers along the correct route
• Assisting with wayfinding at key intersections and course junctions
• Providing encouragement and support to participants
• Reporting any concerns to event organisers if needed
When
A Saturday afternoon in October, date to be confirmed.
Where
Various locations around Napier and Bluff Hill.

What we're looking for
• Friendly and approachable people
• Good communication skills
• Ability to stand for periods of time outdoors
• Reliable and able to follow event instructions
What to bring:
A sun hat, sunscreen, water bottle, and a positive attitude!
If you'd be more comfortable sitting at your marshal point, feel free to bring a chair. We may also have a small number of picnic chairs available for volunteers who need them.
