Every week in New Zealand, three Kiwi families are told the heartbreaking news that their child has cancer. Child Cancer Foundation is dedicated to supporting them every step of the way. We receive no direct government funding, which means we rely on donations to provide this support.
We are seeking approachable and well-organised people to help us raise these vital funds by coordinating local collection sites for our Annual Street Appeal on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th March 2025 in Napier and Hastings.
Within your allocated sites you will:
- Contact volunteers to confirm availability and location via phone or email in the lead up to the Street Appeal
- Deliver and pick up collection resources (buckets, stickers, bibs/sashes and instruction sheets)
- Be the local contact and coordinator on appeal days for the collection volunteers
- Switch out full buckets during the day
- Bank the money being collected with ASB
What is required to do the role?
- To be available on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th March 2025 (we are slightly flexible, if it works with another area coordinator or location to only do 1 day)
- To be available for training (if required) and making contact with your collectors for a few hours prior to the appeal days
- Have a valid NZ driver's license, own a road-worthy vehicle and a cellphone
You will get:
- Support on appeal days
- Pre-allocated collection sites
- Rosters already complete with collection volunteers and their contact details
- All of the resources you need to support your collection volunteers
