Technical Volunteer

If you love the  BBC TV series "The Repair Shop" and have a talent for fixing things, The Faraday Museum of Technology needs you.

It takes a dedicated team of volunteers to keep this amazing little hands - on Museum going, so if you have love tinkering, designing, fixing, and have a few hours to spare during the week, then we might have the perfect volunteer position for you.

Our Museum is open Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat 9am - 3pm, and our volunteers work in 3-hour shifts (9am - 12pm or 12pm - 3pm) at least 1 day per week.

We are looking for people who have a passion for museums, enjoy engines, woodworking, been in the plumbing/electrical/design trade, love metal work, painting, repairing toys, sewing or tinkering, please get in touch.
