The Hawke's Bay Knowledge Bank digitally records written, oral and pictorial history donated or loaned to us. Our role is to preserve and digitally store the history of Hawke's Bay for future generations.
We require volunteers to transcribe these documents. Everything we receive needs to be typed out, so it can be searched on the website. We are looking for accuracy rather than speed in this role.
You can work from home or at our base at Stoneycroft, 901 Omahu Rd, Frimley, Hastings (Corner of Omahu Rd and the Expressway) in Hastings.
If working from home you will need a computer. The software we use free and easy to download and training and support will be provided to you.
If you're a local history buff, come lend a hand and volunteer with us.
Accurate keyboard skills.
