Volunteer Coordinator

VOLUNTARY ROLE AVAILABLE

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Knowledge Bank Hawke’s Bay is based at the historic Stoneycroft homestead in Omahu Road, Hastings. It operates a digital archive, capturing and saving family, community and business history and making these stories accessible to the public on our website.

The Knowledge Bank has a paid manager and is fortunate to have approximately 80 volunteers scanning and transcribing collections and other associated activities.  We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to undertake the essential role of recruiting, managing, and training volunteers. The person we are looking for will ideally be available to assist for around 20 hours per week. They will have excellent oral and written skills, outstanding time management and organisational skills, and strong computer skills. Importantly, they will be a people person.

This is a good opportunity to work with a passionate and enthusiastic team committed to preserving Hawke’s Bay’s history for future generations.
