We are looking for volunteer drivers for relief cover in both the Napier and Hastings areas to support people who are vision impaired by transporting them to and from appointments, social outings, recreational activities or support programmes.
Some activities may be one-off, while others could be ongoing—it’s flexible and based on your availability.
Blind Low Vision NZ induction process and sighted guide training provided. Mileage reimbursement available.
Your time and support help members stay connected, independent, and active in their community.
What’s needed: Safe and reliable driving skills. Physically able to assist clients in and out of vehicles and buildings. A warm, patient manner and good clear communication skills. Willingness to complete sighted guide training/Induction process (provided by us).
