Volunteer Literacy Tutor (1:1)

Are you passionate about education and making a difference in someone's life? We are looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team of Literacy Tutors. This role involves providing one-on-one tutoring to justice-involved learners who want to improve their reading and writing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-on-one literacy tutoring sessions.
  • Develop personalised lesson plans tailored to the learner's needs.
  • Track and report on the learner's progress.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident, calm and patient with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience is an advantage.

If you're calm, patient, and genuinely enjoy assisting others on their learning journey, we’d love to hear from you! Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is a bonus but not required — just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to make a difference.
