The Air Training Corps (ATC or Air Cadets for short) is the Air Force inspired element of the New Zealand Cadet Forces, a nationwide voluntary youth organisation. We offer training in:

- First Aid Skills
- Instructional Technique
- Navigation
- Bush craft & Outdoor Safety
- Firearms Safety
- Marksmanship
- General Service Knowledge

- Public Speaking
To be eligible to join 13 Squadron as an Officer Cadet or Supplementary Staff member you must be:
- At least 18 years old,
- Capable of taking part in most activities, and
- Able to meet the time commitment involved.
Adults
Adults wishing to contribute to the unit should get in contact with the Unit Commander. Adults may get involved as:
- Unit Support Committee Members,
- Supplementary Staff, or
- Officer Cadets/Commissioned Officers.
All roles are voluntary and due to the nature of the work have specific eligibility, vetting and security requirements.
