The day-to-day tasks of this role include providing support to our many volunteers and organisations. You will help keep them up to date about the roles and services we offer. An important part of the role is to follow up with people who register to volunteer to ensure that organisations are getting in touch with them.
Other tasks include data entry and administrative duties. You will be trained to use our database and to make appointments for volunteers who would like more information and assistance. There will also be some projects that we will deliver as a team.
We will train and support you throughout our time with us.
There is a further opportunity to be part of the spontaneous volunteer programme with Civil Defence. Volunteering Hawke's Bay coordinates responses in emergencies involving calls and urgent allocation of community volunteers.
Timing is flexible between 9.00am and 5.00pm. Most of our VHB team volunteer a day or two a week for about three hours each time, but we are happy to work around a schedule to suit you.
Based at The Hive, 200 Market Street North, Hastings.
This would suit someone wanting to gain skills to re-enter the workforce, a mum/dad while children are at school, a retired person, or a student after school wanting to learn new skills for future employment.
