Community Engagement Coordinator

Orange Sky Volunteer teams across the country give their time each week to positively connect some of the 41,000 kiwis doing it tough in the community.  

Our organisation washes belongings while connecting through genuine, non-judgemental conversations.

Orange Sky is moving into Hawke's Bay to help the homeless and those in this community experiencing hardship.

We are currently seeking a Community Engagement Co-ordinator to work in the Hawke's Bay area during our set-up over the next few months and to continue once we are fully operational.

The tasks includes 

  • Creating a local quarterly newsletter for volunteers

  • Managing and running two volunteer events a year

  • Supporting HQ with speaking engagements

    You will be required for 5 - 10 hours a week

The type of person we are looking for (is): 
  • Good oral communication skills

  • Good written communication skills

  • Confident speaking with others and to a group

  • Has good basic computer knowledge to be able to produce an exciting newsletter

  • Well organised 

  • Able to work independently and as part of a group
