Face-to-Face Literacy Coach - Napier

The Rural Youth and Adult Literacy Trust is looking for a caring and reliable volunteer to support a student in Napier with their reading and writing. This is a one-on-one, face-to-face role, meeting regularly in a safe public space like the local library. You’ll work alongside her at their own pace, helping build confidence and practical literacy skills in a relaxed, supportive way. **What you’ll do:** - Provide one-on-one literacy support - Meet regularly at a mutually agreed time (e.g. local library) - Take a learner-led, supportive approach - Encourage confidence and independence **What we offer:** - Full training and resources - Ongoing support from our team - A rewarding volunteer opportunity - Connection to a wider network of volunteers
