Do you have an hour or so available on an occasional Saturday morning or later in the afternoon? If so we are looking for you!
We need assistance to put up our wonderful marquee on certain days when we hold special events on Marine Parade or at Anderson Park. Our marquee is not too big, just 4.5 meters by 3 meters but it does take coordination by 4 relatively, yes there's that word again, taller, stronger team members. Taller stronger than who? Well you will just have to apply to come and meet us. I'll give you a clue, I am only 159 cm. Our marquee takes less than a half hour to erect and even faster to take down, we just need more hands to help us.
Our events are planned well in advance over the summer period, from now until about April 2025. They would be usually on a Saturday along Marine Parade or occasionally on week day afternoons in Anderson Park. They will be for about a 3 hour period. The earliest the marquee would go up might be 9.30am and the latest for it to come down would be 3pm. The crew member need not stick around for the entire event, or may choose to be on the 'put up', or 'take down' crew. Of course if the crew member would like to stay around and help our elderly enjoy their day's recreation outside, feeling the 'wind in their hair' on our free trishaw rides, you would be welcome.
