Our branch native plant nursery is looking for someone to step into a leadership role. We have a team of 12 volunteers who meet once a week on a Tuesday morning to propagate native plants from seed to supply to restoration projects and people in the wider community.
The person we are looking for ideally would have previous nursery experience in a formal or informal setting and would be keen to contribute those skills in a voluntary capacity. As a start they would be working alongside the current team leader with a view to taking over the team leader role in time.
They need to be fit and strong as there is some lifting and moving of plants involved. Own transport is required. There are times when the team leader needs to do a bit more work on site outside the usual volunteering hours.
