Tōmoana Showgrounds Volunteer Day

Join us for a hands-on volunteer day as we care for the 528 trees across the Tōmoana Showgrounds site as part of our Tōmoana Kaitiaki Programme.

This is a chance to come together, give back to the grounds, and help protect and maintain this important community space for the future.

What we’ll be doing

During the day, volunteers will help with:

  • Trimming branches

  • Laying mulch

  • Clearing garden beds

What to bring

Please come prepared with:

  • Closed-toe shoes or boots

  • Comfortable outdoor clothing

  • Gardening gloves

  • Sunhat and sunscreen

  • Water bottle

If you have them available, you are also welcome to bring basic gardening tools.

Why this matters

Our trees are a vital part of the Tōmoana Showgrounds landscape. Caring for them helps keep the grounds healthy, attractive, and thriving for the whole community to enjoy.

We’d love your support as we work together to look after all 528 trees on site and strengthen the impact of the Tōmoana Kaitiaki Programme.
