Trapping

The Department of Conservation is looking for volunteers to attend to and regularly monitor bait stations, and trap lines in our region.

This work is outdoors in some of Hawkes Bay's most amazing  landscapes.  You will be contributing to a predator free environment and keeping fit!

Our volunteer positions have been developed to offer an opportunity to those wanting to work with endangered species and  learn the ropes of conservation.

The type of person we are looking for (is): 
  • Has an interest in conservation

  • Has an interest in gaining work experience

  • Has an interest in having fun in the outdoors  

  • Must be over the age of 16. Those 16-18yrs old need parental/adult supervision.
